I didn’t know what to expect while heading to The Misfit. What I didn’t expect was art deco decor, hand crafted drinks and tapas style dining. While surprised, I wasn’t disappointed. I wish I had photos of the baby broccoli with burrata and the baked goat cheese with tomato gravy and garlic toasts to share, they were quite tasty! You’ll see a shot of the spicy mac & cheese below, highly recommended.

If you’re ever looking for a a bit of history, but also love a good dive bar, head on over to The Frolic Room. Situated right next to The Pantages Theatre, this bar has been around since the 1930’s. The quarky wallpaper, awesome lights and laid back atmosphere always make for a good time.

We found a retreat in Haddingtons while in Austin this week. It’s away from the craziness of 6th street and just transports you to another place. Their brunch is mouth watering and their cocktails are refreshing and fun.

a. If you’re looking for great craft beers and a mellow night, check out Barbara’s at The Brewery
b. My favorite San Fernando Valley Mexican restaurant, Las Fuentes. I’ve been going here for over 20 years! It’s hard to stray from the vegetarian burrito WITH cheese sauce
c. Another San Fernando Valley favorite, whether we’re staying late at the office or just need a great lunch, Kinnara Thai is there. I LOVE their garlic green beans!
d. With so many new burger spots opening up, don’t get overwhelmed. Juicy Burger won’t disappoint you, I promise
